Introduction to Pottery - 8 weeks course - £240
The course comprises of 8 lessons, each class is 3 hours long, providing ample time for students to immerse themselves in the pottery-making process.
My studio can accomodate a maximum of 4 students, I have 3 wheels, a tabletop slab roller, a wall extruder, a hand extruder and different types of stoneware clay you can try.
You will learn the ceramic process, the basics rules of working with clay, Health and Safety in the studio environment and to use all the equipment and tools available in the studio.

What do you need to bring?
Please bring an apron and your own towel, a notebook and a pen and a folder!
To ensure good results it is advisable to have nails trimmed short, long hair tidied back.

After you have completed the Introduction to Pottery course you will be able to join the monthly sessions providing that you have a full understanding of the process, Health and Safety procedures, how to use the equipment and can work unsupervised. An experienced tutor/ technician will be present to advise and to give technical support.
We welcome intermediate or experienced potters who want to work on own projects and can offer the first session as an introduction to the studio policies and equipment.
OPTION 1: 4 Studio Sessions per month on the same evening (tuesday to thursday) plus firing charges
OPTION 2: access from tuesday to friday and on saturday am, book as many sessions as you like and manage your own booking
